High Voltage Engineering Europa B.V. is a high-tech company specialized in the development and manufacturing of custom-build linear DC particle accelerators for scientific and industrial applications. We are established in Amersfoort since 1959 and we have approximately 70 employees. 70 employees.
To further strengthen our Technology department, we are looking for an experienced and energetic
Manager Physics
Job mission:
· You provide leadership to a group of accelerator physicists. Recognize their vital role in our organization, manage their skills and know-how and provide an optimal working environment.
· You support product innovation and promote close collaboration with our Engineering, Electronics, Software and Test & Installation departments during the design, manufacturing and testing phases.
· For product development, you search for extended applications for our particle accelerators. For this you work together with our Sales department and are in contact with our customers as well as the scientific community.
· Support Sales department for customer communication and shape processes to translate customer needs into unambiguous technical requirements.
· Maintain interaction with scientific community. Present and promote our equipment.
Education:
· Master or Ph.D. degree in Physics
Personal skills:
· Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and grow staff.
· Proven competence or affinity to combine academic background with industrial environment.
· Pro-active attitude. Result-driven with a “can do” spirit and hands-on mentality.
· Awareness of your important position and role within the company.
Experience:
· Several years of experience in steering a team of experts in scientific and/or industrial environment.
· Experience in translating long-term goals into action plans
· Product or prototype development in industrial environment.
· Experience with electrostatic particle accelerators or related equipment is highly advantageous
